A digital asset is a digital representation that can be stored and transferred electronically using a Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) system or similar or analogous technology. In these systems, records are linked and encrypted to ensure the security and privacy of transactions.
What is the CNAD?
The National Commission of Digital Assets (CNAD) in El Salvador is a regulatory authority dedicated to overseeing and promoting the development of the digital asset ecosystem. The main objectives of the CNAD include ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, fostering innovation, and maintaining a secure environment for digital asset transactions.
The CNAD also maintains a public registry of authorized issuers and marketers of digital assets.
Operating without CNAD approval is illegal, and offenders are subject to penalties under the Digital Asset Issuance Law.
What is COINGT?
COINGT is a token or digital asset that represents ownership of economic rights over the shares of GODES, S.A. DE C.V. This token has been issued in accordance with the Extraordinary General Shareholders' Meeting Act and is backed by the statutes deposited in the Commercial Registry of the Republic of El Salvador.
