Guatemala Interoceanic Corridor.
The Interoceanic Corridor of Guatemala will consist of an alternative trade route to the Panama Canal and the U.S. Land Bridge that will bring efficiency to world trade.
The route will be 30% cheaper in cost for containers than the U.S. Land Bridge and regarding the Panama Canal,
7% cheaper and 8% faster compared to its up to the American markets. Among the benefits for the region so:
- It will boost the economy.
- It will attract foreign direct investment.
- Improve the competitiveness indices of the region.
- It will raise the quality of life of Guatemalans.
